My greatest obsession and my deepest passion were born from the same seed.
I grew up in New York, in a family of athletes. Since I was young, my parents always pushed me to explore my physical limits. First on a mountain bike, foot and skis, then on rock when I started college in the town of The Gunks. I became fascinated with seeing how far my body could take me and climbing, skiing and running carried me around the world to find out.
The same privilege that allowed me that time and obsession, being a white male in the United States, also pushed me to pursue a career that made a positive impact with it. I have spent a decade working in sustainable agriculture and refugee services. Six of which were with the International Rescue Committee, working for a farm program that helped refugee families grow food for income, food access, and rehabilitation.
I tie both of these parts of my life together with my camera. My obsession with climbing and adventure push me to explore some of the most remote and beautiful landscapes on the planet. My passion for human connection makes me endlessly curious about the lives of the people that call those places home. The seed of privilege that allowed me this life, continues to push me to have a positive impact through the stories I tell with my camera. Ultimately, I hope to continue weaving these worlds together, capturing stories of adventure, strength and resilience across the globe.
